Father of Comfort

Father won’t you comfort me

Savior won’t you lead me through mountains & valleys

Lord won’t you guide me with your staff

So that I won’t stray from your perfect path.

Darkness I have seen

Shadows I’ve encountered

Had my share of anguish

Had a taste of hell

Yet you rescued me with open arms

Shielded me from eminent harm

Showered me with plentiful grace

Showed me your glorious face

Now I say

Now I promise

Now I pledge

To live by faith.
